Younger or Elder

Girls like to marry boys who are older than them while boys like to marry girls who are younger than them. Well, is this correct? What do you think? I have asked my friends, both girls and boys, and all the girls answered that they will never marry guys who are younger than them while almost all [not all] boys said they will only marry girls who are younger to them. I told them not to consider the social factor or anything that exists in the community, but to decide for themselves. So, their answers were completely personal opinions. So, what do you think. Do you belong to these majority or do you not? Justify your answer.

  5. its true very much that gals go for elder guys then them and guys the vice versa....but u know as i came to know love can happen to any age grp ..if u keep looking for love and u r age goes up so u may become a uncle by the time u get the gal of ur choice...so i am trying for this love to be felt soon :)..

  6. I'll go wid the majority opinion.But I think I'll hav an upper limit,say,i wudnt marry a man older 2 me by mor than 5-6 yrs(max).coz i wont b frndly wid him then.n younger men wud make me bossy.

    Age mattrs sinply cuz s the guy grows up, his priorities n liking mite change... look at saif... he left his wife din he? for a younger woman?!!!

  10. Nope i dont believe in any of this. Its a matter of personal choice. From a woman's perspective i can say that i wud marry a guy irrespective of his age...the only criteria that he shud fulfill is tht, he shud hav the maturity and stability to handle a serious relationship. I dont like hanky-panky kinda guys!! So anybody who fits the bill is gr8.

    I think this mentality stems from the fact that younger guys r generally immature. Also older men are well settled and more stable in those terms. So my opinion is my own and i dont want to nullify what others say or think coz as i said its a matter of personal choice.

  25. According to me this is the most weird restriction that one can keep to find a life partner.
    It's just a matter of personal choice & if you're compatible with him/her then age should be no bar.

    I would like to marry a man older to me coz...Whenever I feel blue, I would want to depend on a person whos more responsible than me.....

    Well to be frank...theres nothing like elder or younger..every man or a woman is at times a child at heart and both need a sense of security and responsibility from each other.

  43. hmm there are reasons why its d normal preference of the people...not just hte social factor...

    they say girls are much more mature than a guy of the same age...so if u look for someone older then it balances the equation and from my personal experience too i support the cause..that girls should marry older boys and boys should marry younger girls

  45. I was thinking about this today!!

    I guess it all begins with the social and emotional maturity factor I guess. Most people believe that men mature less speedily than women and therefore two people of the same age but of different genders are most likely not going to be mature at the same level.
