Happiness

What is happiness? Is happiness an everlasting thing? People say if you look for happiness within you could acheive everlasting happiness. But is it so? Won't there be situations in life when that happiness breaks apart, atleast for a minute? Or are we really happy? Are we just pretending our selves, telling ourselves that we are happy.

  1. what is happiness? hmm...interesting question...it is feeling at peace with your achievements i think...it is the ability to understand everything has something in it for you in the end...

  2. happiness is something within yourself. Thats the inner peace, some harmony you have reached between you and the world around. Because if you dont have it withn yourself nobody else would give you it.

And it is not permanent, not many of us are able to keep themselves at this state of mind and soul. But we can learn :)

  3. happiness is a state of well being and it is indeed within us. we just need to peek within us and find the thing that opens the lock to be happy.

sometimes it is the hope in us that makes us overlook the distress

and sometimes it is the faith on the good times that brings us happiness

it is abstract and the definition of which defers from person to person

  8. Yes, happiness can break apart when we experience a negative emotion. But that does not mean that we stop being HAPPY overall, if we were already happy to begin with. Its a state of contentment. Happiness does not mean a smiling face 24 hours a day.

  9. Yes, happiness does break apart...sometimes for much longer than a minute. May be sometimes we pretend to be happy, just to uplift our spirits. If we could look for happiness in every situation, that would be ideal, but then we won't be humans, we would perhaps be saintly...

Yah, it is not permanent that's what my view also is, but people argue that it can be everlasting if you see the world like that :)
